Book of the Week

A follow-up from 61 Hours, this latest offering from Lee Child is a story that hits the ground running.

There's deadly trouble in the corn country of Nebraska ... and Jack Reacher walks right into it.  First he falls foul of the Duncans, a local clan that has terrified an entire county into submission. But it's a decades-old unsolved case of a missing child that Reacher can't let go.

Worth Dying For is the kind of explosive thriller only Lee Child could write and only Jack Reacher could survive - a heart-racing pager-turner no suspense fan will want to miss!

DID YOU KNOW?

Contrary to popular belief, there was no deeply mystical reason for the selection of the name "Jack Reacher" for his main character.  In fact, Lee Child was struggling to think of one.  One day, his wife asked him to go shopping with her (because he was out of work and therefore available for such trips).  Every time he goes to the supermarket, some little old lady always approaches Child and says "You're a nice tall guy.  Could you reach for that can up there for me please?".  His wife turned to him on this day and said "Hey, if this writing thing doesn't work out, you could always be a 'Reacher' in a supermarket."  He thought that was a pretty good name for his character!
